Rockin’ the River has a whole new atti-TUBE!

Saturdays at Panther Island Pavilion just got a lot cooler this summer.

Rockin’ the River is back again and got the 7-year itch since last summer! The popular summer music and tubing series, in its seventh year, is back at Panther Island Pavilion. The extended happy hour event, usually held on Thursday is making the switch to an all-day Saturday party. “We are pleased to deliver what our fans have been asking – to rock the river on the weekend.” said Trinity River Vision Authority Executive Director, J.D.Granger.

As always, Rockin’ the River remains a free event to the public. It will be a fist-full of summer festivals live on the Trinity River with thirty bands performing over the six-week music series. Some of the area’s top Texas Country artist will be headlining. To keep things funky, expect some rock and soul sprinkled in the lineup each week too. See the full band lineup here.

THE LOWDOWN

Each week, the gates will open at 1:00pm with five different bands playing back-to-back sets beginning around 2:15pm on the Coors Light Waterfront Stage. After the headlining band finishes at 8:15pm, we will clear the water and bring the party to the shore with the fifth and final band playing until 9:15pm on the Pacifico Stage.

In addition to live music on two stages; food and beverage options will be available for purchase, as well as tube and watersport rentals. Regardless of the weather, the party does not stop. The fun simply moves indoors to The Shack. Lastly, each Rockin’ the River event will have the ultimate nightcap – a fireworks show right on the banks of the Trinity River.

This summer’s Rockin’ the River promises more tube and tan time, more music and fun. We can’t wait!
